Three People Sustained Injuries in Kings County Hit-and-Run Multi-Vehicle Accident on the I-5
Kings County, CA (June 16, 2022) – A Kings County hit-and-run multi-vehicle accident on the I-5 north of Highway 41 near Kettleman City left three people with injuries, including two with significant injuries. According to ABC 30, the accident happened at around 11:10 pm on Tuesday.
A hit-and-run multi-vehicle accident in Kings County left two with severe injuries and one with minor injuries.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), an Audi went south on the I-5. Then, it turned and collided with a big rig trailer going the same way.
The Audi’s driver then lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn and land on its roof. Meanwhile, the big rig fell into an embankment and stopped in a ravine.
According to a crash witness, the Audi driver then exited the vehicle and looked at the big rig in the ravine. Then, the driver got hit by a box truck. The box truck didn’t stop to provide any assistance, making its driver at large for hit-and-run.
The big rig’s driver and the car’s driver sustained serious injuries from the accident. Responders then arrived at the scene and flew them out to a hospital for medical care. They also transported a passenger of the big rig to a hospital for minor injuries.
Right now, authorities are investigating the crash. They haven’t released further information about the accident.
