An I-15 Multi-Car Crash Left Two Fatal and Three Others Injured, Fatal Victims Identified
Lake Elsinore, CA (March 7, 2024) – An I-15 multi-car crash northbound on I-15, just south of Indian Truck Trail, left two fatally injured and three others hospitalized. The fatal victims were identified as Nicholas Lanni (34) of Norco and Gene Kittiko (79) of Ontario. According to Patch, the crash occurred after 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

An I-15 multi-car crash resulted in the deaths of two individuals, identified by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Coroner’s Bureau as 34-year-old Nicholas Lanni of Norco and 79-year-old Gene Kittiko of Ontario.
Three others also sustained injuries due to the collision.
According to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department spokesperson Maggie De La Rosa, the collision involving four vehicles occurred on the northbound lanes of I-15, south of Indian Truck Trail.
Emergency responders arrived to find extensive damage to all cars, blocking at least two freeway lanes.
California Highway Patrol logs also indicate that a gray sedan struck the center divider, triggering the chain reaction collision.
Upon arrival, first responders discovered an individual unresponsive at the scene. Despite lifesaving efforts by the authorities, Nicholas Lanni succumbed to fatal injuries on site.
Four others sustained injuries in the crash, with one person critically injured. They were promptly transported to nearby hospitals via multiple ambulances.
Unfortunately, Gene Kittiko, who had critical injuries, died approximately two hours after the incident at Inland Valley Medical Center.
Moreover, the collision prompted authorities to issue a SIG Alert for northbound I-15, causing traffic disruptions until after 1 a.m. Thursday.
Furthermore, California Highway Patrol’s Inland Division is investigating this I-15 multi-car crash.
