Reports indicate that Irma Pedraza and her son, Christian, were on a late-night trip to their favorite donut shop, B&B Donuts when a speeding driver rear-ended their vehicle at a red light.
The collision occurred around 12:11 a.m. near Orangethorpe Avenue and Harbor Boulevard in Fullerton, as reported by the Fullerton Police Department.
Preliminary investigations indicate that a BMW traveling southbound in the number one lane crashed into the rear of the Toyota Rav 4, which was stationary at a red light.
Subsequently, the BMW collided with a Chevrolet Silverado in the number two lane, also stopping at the red light.
Emergency responders transported two individuals involved in the crash, both Anaheim residents aged 22 and 25, to local hospitals for treatment.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Chevrolet, an 18-year-old Fullerton resident, received on-scene medical attention and was subsequently released.
The FPD disclosed that factors such as the speed of the BMW and the possible influence of alcohol or drugs are currently under investigation as potential contributors to this Fullerton car crash.
