Jacek Romanski, a 75-year-old resident of Berkley, succumbed to fatal injuries after a Concord plane crash near Buchanan Field Airport on Tuesday, as confirmed by the Contra Costa County Coroner.
Reports indicate that Jacek Romanski was piloting a single-engine Vans RV-6, a kit airplane, at the time of the crash. The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District verified that the pilot was the aircraft’s sole occupant.
The incident also involved another vehicle, and the driver of that vehicle was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
Meanwhile, the crash site resembles another recent incident involving a similar kit airplane crashing off Half Moon Bay earlier this month.
Moreover, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have launched an investigation into this Concord plane crash, resulting in the death of Jacek Romanski.
J&M Tip: In the case of an airplane crash, it can be attributed to either a defective aircraft component or the pilot’s negligence. You can file a personal injury lawsuit against the airline or the accountable flight crew in such instances.
