We are thrilled to announce that Demetrios Papanikolas, one of our esteemed lawyers, has been elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). This prestigious organization comprises some of the nation’s most accomplished trial lawyers.
ABOTA is a nationwide association of trial lawyers and judges committed to preserving the American trial system. Its dedicated members fervently advocate for the right to a civil jury trial as guaranteed by the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
In addition to his ABOTA election, Demetrios Papanikolas also received a Super Lawyers 2022 rating. It’s another prestigious membership of seasoned and skilled lawyers across the United States. Indeed, Demetrios Papanikolas is a skilled trial lawyer with over 30 years of experience and numerous jury verdicts. He is one of the most respectable personal injury lawyers in Los Angeles. His practice includes car accident, motorcycle accident, pedestrian accident, bicycle accident, and wrongful death cases.
Demetrios Papanikolas earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vassar College with multiple honors, including Phi Beta Kapp. Then, he attended the UCLA School of Law. He became a distinguished advocate in the Moot Court Honors Program. Since 2001, Demetrios also served on the Crestview Preparatory School Board of Trustees as its Chair. He has also been a volunteer for the Los Angeles Superior Court’s Legal Aid Program.

What is an ABOTA membership?
Being a member of the ABOTA comes with many commitments. As a member, Demetrios Papanikolas will coordinate and collaborate with fellow members to improve the standards of the legal practice. ABOTA’s mission is fostering improvement in the ethical and technical standards of practice. Also, Demetrios Papanikolas and other ABOTA members work to uphold efficient administration of justice consistent with the principles of litigation.
ABOTA memberships are by invitation only. These invitations are only extended to trial lawyers who have solid track records and pristine reputations. Candidates also need to meet minimum requirements in terms of work experience and competence, including at least ten (10) civil jury trials to jury verdict or hung verdict as lead counsel. Currently, the ABOTA has a wide network of over 7,600 lawyers and judges, among 96 chapters present in all 50 states.
ABOTA members commit to upholding the Seventh Amendment to the United States Constitution and securing every American Citizen’s right to a jury trial.
