Bakersfield, CA (May 30, 2022) – James Earl Posey Jr. (55) of Bakersfield was identified as the pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle on New Stine Road. According to KGET, the collision was reported around 8:45 pm on Monday.
James Earl Posey Jr. was already lying on the roadway when he was struck by a vehicle on New Stine Road, Bakersfield.
According to the Bakersfield Police’s investigation, Posey Jr. was already lying on the roadway before he got struck by a vehicle. The victim then died at the hospital after sustaining major injuries.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Authorities said that drugs or alcohol did not appear to be factors in the accident.
