San Bernardino, CA (August 16, 2022) – James Gatson (43) was identified as the fatality in a hit-and-run crash near Highland Avenue and Cedar Street in San Bernardino. According to CBS News, the crash happened around 4:35 am on Sunday.
James Gatson was crossing East Highland Avenue in his wheelchair when possibly two vehicles struck him. Authorities are now seeking the drivers involved.
The San Bernardino Police reported a fatal collision involving a hit-and-run driver and a pedestrian in a wheelchair near Highland Avenue and Cedar Street in San Bernardino.
Authorities pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. He was identified as James Gatson.
According to reports, Gatson was crossing East Highland Avenue in his wheelchair when two vehicles struck him. Both vehicles fled the scene.
Investigators are now working to locate the vehicles involved in the crash.
