Garden Grove, CA (May 14, 2024) – Janet Carrillo (40) of Garden Grove died in a Garden Grove DUI crash after a vehicle struck her home in the 11800 block of Magnolia Street. According to CBS News, the crash happened around 1:55 a.m. on Sunday.

Janet Carrillo, 40, of Garden Grove, died in a Garden Grove DUI crash after a suspected DUI driver hit her home in the 11800 block of Magnolia Street.
According to the Garden Grove Police Department, a 2019 Toyota Camry, driven by 35-year-old Jadir Salazar Montano of Riverside, slammed into the house.
Unfortunately, Janet Carrillo was trapped by the vehicle and died at the scene.
Meanwhile, police officers arrived after receiving multiple reports of a hit-and-run and a suspect who had left the scene.
Esteban Gomez, Carillo’s brother-in-law, mentioned that he ran after the driver two blocks down on foot after attempting to flee the scene. Additionally, three other witnesses chased the driver through a vehicle.
Moreover, authorities believe that Montano was under the influence at the time of the crash, which likely contributed to this Garden Grove DUI crash. Further details have not yet been released.
