Rio Vista, CA (May 14, 2024) – Jessica Hay (29) and another individual suffered fatal injuries in a Rio Vista DUI crash on Highway 160 and Sherman Island Road. According to KCRA, the crash occurred at around 12:17 a.m. on Saturday.

The California Highway Patrol reported that a gray Nissan SUV traveling south on Highway 160 crossed into the northbound lane and collided head-on with a Lexus.
Inside the Lexus were Hay, her boyfriend, and her three children—a 2-month-old, a 10-year-old, and a 5-year-old.
The remaining vehicle occupants were also sent to the hospital after sustaining significant injuries.
Hay’s aunt, Cynthia Padilla, recounted that the family had spent Friday together at a BBQ before Hay, her boyfriend, and the children watched a drive-in movie. They were on their way home to Rio Vista when this Rio VIsta DUI crash occurred.
Moreover, a CHP spokesperson indicated that the driver of the Nissan, who also died in the crash, is suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol.
