Grass Valley, CA (June 4, 2022) – Authorities recently identified Jessica Johnson (36) of Sacramento as the fatality in a head-on collision in Grass Valley on Saturday. According to The Union, the crash happened around 6:30 pm.
Jessica Johnson was the passenger of the 2002 Acura that collided head-on with a 2022 Ford F-350 on Highway 20.

The 2002 Acura headed eastbound was reportedly going at high speed. Due to its speed, the driver did not make the right curve in the roadway. It then crossed into the westbound lane.
The said vehicle collided head-on with a 2022 Ford F-350 with a livestock trailer.
Authorities reported that Travis Reynaga of Grass Valley, the driver of the 2002 Acura, remains hospitalized due to major injuries. His passenger, Jessica Johnson, died at the scene.
As per CHP’s report, the other driver Donald Mayo and his passenger Denise Mayo were taken to Sutter Roseville Medical Center due to moderate to major injuries.
Meanwhile, Mayo’s other passenger, Matt Perkins, was not taken to a hospital and only had minor injuries.
