Martinez, CA (December 7, 2023) – Jimmy Thai (39) of Novato died in a Martinez multi-vehicle crash on northbound Interstate 680. According to CBS, the crash was reported shortly after 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

Jimmy Thai, a 39-year-old Novato resident, tragically lost his life after colliding with a stalled truck on Interstate 680 northbound in Martinez, as reported by the Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Ford F-550 truck was unexpectedly parked on the highway’s far-left lane due to mechanical troubles.
At the same time, Jimmy Thai, at the wheel of a Ford Escape, was unable to dodge the stalled truck, crashing into its back.
Regrettably, Jimmy Thai died on the scene, while the truck driver remained uninjured.
