Stockton, CA (July 20, 2023) – Joaquin Carrasco Jr. (64) was identified as the bicyclist killed in Stockton hit-and-run crash. According to ABC10, the accident occurred around 10:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
Joaquin Carrasco Jr. was fatally struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Pacific Avenue and Yokuts Avenue.
According to the Stockton Police Department, a bicyclist was riding his bike near the intersection of Pacific Avenue and Yokuts Avenue when a car hit him.
The San Joaquin County Medical Examiners Office identified 64-year-old Joaquin Carrasco Jr. as the bicyclist killed in the crash.
Following the collision, the driver initially left the scene but later came forward to report the crash to the police.
Police did not arrest the driver. Their identity is also not released to the public. However, the authorities have forwarded hit-and-run charges to the District Attorney’s Office for further investigation.
