Martinez, CA (January 22, 2024) – Jonathan Ojeda (30) of Bay Point succumbed to fatal injuries after a Highway 4 solo crash near Martinez. According to SFGate, the crash happened around 11:10 a.m. on Sunday.

Jonathan Ojeda, a 30-year-old resident of Bay Point, died after a Highway 4 solo crash near Martinez, as confirmed by the Contra Costa Coroner’s Office.
The incident occurred near Franklin Canyon Road and Wolcott Lane when Jonathan Ojeda was driving a Can-am utility task vehicle that couldn’t navigate a wet, muddy road.
The vehicle ultimately crashed into a chain-link fence and rolled over.
While two passengers escaped unharmed, Jonathan Ojeda was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators also discovered that the driver was not properly wearing his seatbelt during the accident.
