José Rangel Died After Getting Hit by a Stolen Amazon Truck on Main Street in Los Angeles
Los Angeles, CA (February 22, 2022) – José Rangel (67) died after getting hit by a stolen Amazon truck driven by Cristian Ramos Sanchez (37). According to the American Post, the incident happened at around 2:15 pm on Thursday (February 17) at South Main Street in Los Angeles.
According to authorities, Rangel had a roadside stand around 44771 of South Main Street. Meanwhile, Sanchez lost control of the Amazon truck he was driving near the same area. Then, he drove into the sidewalk, hitting multiple vehicles and pedestrians. Rangel was one of the pedestrians involved in the incident.

Sadly, Rangel died due to blunt force injuries sustained from the crash. Two other pedestrians sustained minor injuries. However, Sanchez tried to run away on foot after the crash. Authorities later arrested him.
Rangel had a roadside stand around 44771 of South Main Street. Meanwhile, Sanchez lost control of the Amazon truck he was driving near the same area.
According to authorities, they received reports that someone stole the Amazon truck from around Woodlawn Avenue and 41st Place. LAPD preliminary reports indicate that Sanchez drove to east of 48th street and south of Main Street before the crash.
Rangel’s family and friends came together with the community of street vendors to grieve over the loss. José Rangel’s wife Sonia Rangel said, “Thank you for your affection and love for my husband… Thank you for your prayers and help.” They lit candles, placed photos, and flowers where the tragic incident happened to remember José Rangel.
