Clovis, CA (October 18, 2023) – Joshua Hatfield (23) of Fresno succumbed to fatal injuries after a vehicle struck him in a Clovis scooter crash. According to YourCentralValley, the accident occurred on Wednesday morning.

Joshua Hatfield, a 23-year-old Fresno resident, succumbed to fatal injuries after a vehicle struck him in a Clovis scooter crash.
Authorities also arrested the driver, 35-year-old Tracy Slocum, who caused the collision.
According to the Clovis Police Department, the crash occurred at the Willow and Shaw Avenues intersection in Clovis.
Investigators revealed that Joshua Hatfield was riding a motorized scooter eastbound on Shaw Avenue when he went against a red light and crossed Willow Avenue.
Unfortunately, northbound Willow Avenue had a green light at the time.
As officers approached the SUV, another individual took the driver’s seat and fled.
Officers at Willow and Barstow Avenues later stopped the SUV. Simultaneously, the original SUV driver arrived in a separate vehicle and cooperated with the police.
Furthermore, police arrested the original 35-year-old driver for felony hit and run and booked him into Fresno County Jail.
Meanwhile, the person who assumed the driver’s seat and drove away, 35-year-old Latray Magano, was arrested for obstructing an officer.
Moreover, this Clovis scooter crash, resulting in the death of Joshua Hatfield, remains under investigation.
