Los Angeles, CA (October 29, 2021) – Valentin Lorenzo, 36, was killed in a single-vehicle crash on the 101 Freeway, near Vine Street in Los Angeles County.
The collision was reported around 04:25 a.m. California Highway Patrol and paramedics responded to the scene shortly thereafter. Lorenzo had been traveling on the 101 and the driver moved onto the off-ramp in his Honda Odyssey, when he ran through a fence and through some trees.
Police and first responders found Lorenzo and they sustained major injuries. They originally believed that Lorenzo has been a pedestrian. Authorities now know him to be a passenger from the vehicle. Responders transported the driver to the hospital.
Lorenzo was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. At this time, it is unknown whether drugs or alcohol are suspected as factors in the deadly crash and the investigation is ongoing.
