Irvine, CA (July 22, 2023) – Maria Servas (87) sustained fatal injuries after being struck in an Irvine pedestrian crash. According to a press release from the Irvine Police Department, the crash was reported around 7:45 pm on Friday.
Maria Servas, an 87-year-old pedestrian, succumbed to fatal injuries after a vehicle struck her in an Irvine pedestrian crash.
The Irvine Police Department responded to reports of a fatal pedestrian crash at the intersection of Irvine Boulevard and Marketplace on Friday.
They found an elderly woman with serious injuries at the scene. Unfortunately, she later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities identified the victim as 87-year-old Maria Servas of Irvine.
According to the initial investigation, a westbound black Jeep Wrangler headed toward Marketplace struck Servas in the crosswalk near Marketplace.
Currently, this Irvine pedestrian crash remains under investigation. The officers determined that drugs or alcohol did not play a factor in this crash.
