CHP reported that due to the driver’s level of alcohol impairment, he failed to prevent a collision with the rear of the SUV, causing it to veer off the roadway and hit a concrete barrier.
Additionally, the SUV hit three surviving individuals. Responders then transported them to a local hospital for medical treatment.
In contrast, the driver responsible for the accident did not sustain any injuries.
He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of felony DUI and later booked into the Fresno County Jail.
