75-Year-Old Maria Zaragoza Fatal in Two-Vehicle Collision Involving a Truck in Merced
Merced, CA (September 12, 2022) – Maria Zaragoza (75) of Planada was identified as the fatality in a two-vehicle collision on East Childs Avenue and Kibby Road in Merced. According to Merced Sunstar, the crash happened Thursday morning.
Maria Zaragoza was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved in the two-vehicle collision on East Childs Avenue and Kibby Road in Merced.
Merced Police Department responded to a fatal two-vehicle collision involving a truck on East Childs Avenue and Kibby Road in Merced.
Despite attempts at life-saving measures, one of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene. She was later identified as Maria Zaragoza of Planada.
According to reports, Aaron Buenrostro of Manteca was driving a truck and tried to turn left when his truck collided with the left front of another vehicle. The other driver was identified as Fedelina Gonzalez of Planada, Zaragoza was her passenger.
Gonzalez was then transported to a hospital due to major injuries. Meanwhile, Buenrostro did not sustain any serious injuries but was taken to a hospital as a precaution.
This incident remains under further investigation.
