Mariah Beltran Killed in Car Crash on the 10 Freeway in Los Angeles County
Covina, CA (May 8, 2022) – Mariah Beltran (25) died after getting involved in a car accident on the 10 Freeway in Covina of Los Angeles County. According to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, the incident happened at around 1:23 am on Saturday.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), Beltran rode as a passenger in a 2006 Saturn Vue going westbound on the freeway near Holt Avenue. Then, the Saturn’s driver, Carlos Rivas (20) from Los Angeles, lost control of the vehicle. The Saturn then crashed into a 2018 Honda Accord being driven by a 47-year-old female driver from Los Angeles.
Mariah Beltran died in the hospital after sustaining major internal injuries from a car crash on the 10 Freeway.
According to the CHP, the Saturn overturned due to the impact. Responders arrived and immediately transported both Beltran and Rivas to Pomona Valley Hospital. However, Beltran succumbed to major injuries from the accident. Meanwhile, Rivas received medical care for his moderate injuries.
On the other hand, the Accord’s female driver only sustained minor injuries. Right now, the CHP doesn’t suspect that alcohol was a factor in this accident.
