Adelanto, CA (August 8, 2022) – Marty Sparling (59) was identified as the fatality in a hit-and-run crash at US Highway 395 and Cactus Road in Adelanto. According to Victor Valley News Group, the crash happened around 10:21 pm on Saturday.

Authorities responded to a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a bicyclist and an SUV at US Highway 395 and Cactus Road in Adelanto.
The bicyclist was identified as Marty Sparling of Adelanto. He was transported to a hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
According to a news release, Sparling was on his bicycle when an SUV struck him and then fled the scene. Authorities identified the vehicle and its driver through a California license plate left at the scene. They are now looking for the SUV driver named Erika Romero-Aguilar.
