Rohnert Park, CA (September 26, 2022) – Mary Ann Diaz-Moreno (78) of Petaluma was identified as the fatality in a head-on collision on the Rohnert Park Expressway. According to Patch, the crash occurred Friday afternoon.
Mary Ann Diaz-Moreno died upon arrival at the hospital after being involved in a head-on collision on Rohnert Park Expressway.
The California Highway Patrol responded to a fatal head-on collision on Rohnert Park Expressway.
Two drivers sustained major injuries and were trapped inside their vehicles. Fire personnel had to extricate the drivers from their vehicles. Then, both were taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
Unfortunately, one of the drivers reportedly died upon arrival at the hospital. The Sonoma County Sheriff-Coroner’s office identified her as Mary Ann Diaz-Moreno of Petaluma.
According to preliminary investigation, an eastbound driver from Turlock made an unsafe turn to the left and crossed into the westbound lane. The vehicle then went directly in front of Diaz-Moreno’s vehicle and collided head-on.
