Maze Boulevard DUI Crash Killed Three Individuals, Driver Arrested
Modesto, CA (September 29, 2023) – A Maze Boulevard DUI crash left three individuals, including two passengers, fatal. Authorities also arrested the driver suspected of DUI. According to Yahoo! News, the accident occurred at about 7:30 a.m. on Thursday.

A Maze Boulevard DUI crash resulted in the death of three individuals, including a passenger. Simultaneously, the driver suspected of DUI, identified as 49-year-old Wyatt Gordon of Modesto, was detained.
Upon arriving at the scene, the fire department personnel informed the California Highway Patrol officers that two individuals had tragically succumbed to their injuries.
In addition, a third person, who required extrication from a vehicle, was airlifted to Doctors Medical Center. Unfortunately, she also did not survive her injuries.
The victims involved in this tragic Maze Boulevard DUI crash were residents of Modesto and Stockton. As of now, their identities have not been disclosed.
Moreover, the crash occurred to the west of Gates and Paradise roads. The initial investigation revealed that a 2010 Lexus sedan driver traveled at a high rate of speed eastbound on Maze Boulevard and drifted onto the right shoulder of the road.
Subsequently, Gordon veered left, causing the Lexus to swerve in a northeasterly direction into the westbound lane.
This maneuver led to a direct collision with a Hyundai sedan traveling in the westbound lane. Following the impact, the Lexus continued going northeastward, ultimately overturning into a field north of the road.
Gordon, who sustained minor injuries, was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Authorities then took him into custody.
Meanwhile, one of the fatalities was Gordon’s 44-year-old passenger, a Modesto woman.
Additionally, the occupants of the 2015 Hyundai included a 67-year-old Modesto woman, the driver, and a 64-year-old Stockton woman.
Furthermore, the CHP has confirmed that all parties involved used seat belts at the time of this Maze Boulevard DUI crash.
