Taft, CA (June 4, 2022) – Michael Edward Lopez (22) of Bakersfield has been identified by The Kern County coroner’s office as the fatality in a motorcycle accident involving a big rig on Taft on Saturday.
Motorcyclist Michael Edward Lopez collided with a big rig at the intersection of Highway 119 and Airport Road in Taft.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), Michael Edward Lopez was riding his motorcycle when he collided with a big rig at the intersection of Highway 119 and Airport Road in Taft.
Authorities then declared Lopez dead at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
