Newark, CA (January 10, 2022) – Juan Gonzalez-Ramirez (22) died in a suspected DUI vehicle accident at Saint Isabel Street near Cedar Boulevard in Newark. The incident happened at 11:20 pm.
According to the authorities, four people were involved. Authorities found them inside a vehicle that crashed into an empty parked vehicle. Gonzalez-Ramirez was one of the passengers and he was unresponsive when police found him.

Officers provided initial care to Juan Gonzalez-Ramirez. Then, they took him to the hospital. However, he succumbed to his injuries and was later pronounced dead. Fortunately, the other three occupants of the vehicle only sustained minor injuries.
Authorities suspected that the 24-year-old driver was under the influence. He was then arrested. However, a records check was done on Monday evening, which did not list him in custody.
