On Sunday, around 2:30 a.m. Basaluda was traveling north on Interstate 5 when his Hyundai sedan veered off the roadway for unknown reasons. It then descended an embankment alongside the 1700 block of South Oceanside Boulevard, ultimately colliding with a tree.
Tragically, Basaluda succumbed to his injuries at the accident scene.
