Oceanside, CA (April 15, 2024) – An Oceanside Blvd pedestrian crash killed one pedestrian and hospitalized two others after a car hit three people. According to The San Diego Union-Tribune, the crash occurred at around 7:30 pm. On Sunday.

According to Oceanside police Sgt. Clint Bussey, the three pedestrians were traversing Oceanside Boulevard approximately 100 yards west of College when they were hit by a Toyota Corolla traveling east on Oceanside.
Emergency responders rushed all three pedestrians to hospitals for treatment, where the 21-year-old man tragically succumbed to his injuries.
The other two pedestrians, a 24-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, were also treated and subsequently released from the Palomar Medical Center.
Meanwhile, the Toyota driver remained at the crash scene and cooperated with law enforcement. Bussey stated that neither drugs nor alcohol were factors in this Oceanside Blvd pedestrian crash, and speed was not deemed to be a contributing factor.
