The California Highway Patrol reported a fatal pedestrian accident on Jackson Road and Sunrise Boulevard in Sacramento County.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s office identified the victim as Oscar Armando Monreal.
According to authorities, Monreal reportedly walked into the lane when he was struck by an eastbound pickup truck on Jackson Highway.
The pickup truck driver reported minor injuries and cooperated with the investigation. Alcohol or drugs were not involved in the accident.
