Pasadena, CA (May 12, 2024) – A Pasadena solo crash involving a vehicle crashing into an unoccupied building killed three and injured three others. According to ABC7, the police received reports about the accident at around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday.

The fatal victims were Stefan Michael Pfeiffer, a 20-year-old student at Pasadena City College, Esrom Fessemaye, and the 22-year-old driver, Mohed Samuel.
Additionally, Samuel’s younger sister sustained serious injuries, along with another man and woman involved in the crash.
Pasadena Police Department Lt. Anthony Russo mentioned that the occupants of the Tesla Model 3 involved in the crash, ranging in age from 17 to 22, were ejected from the vehicle upon impact.
Eyewitness News also obtained surveillance footage capturing the speeding Tesla just moments before the collision. The footage shows a sudden explosion upon impact, tearing the vehicle apart.
According to Russo, speed played a critical role in the collision, with the building suffering significant damage upon impact.
Further investigation revealed that the Tesla was traveling at least double the speed limit, with the driver running a red light and losing control of the vehicle. The car struck a curb, propelling it into the air before colliding with a city light pole, a power pole, and ultimately, the building.
