Antonia Mendez Ruiz Fatally Struck in Fullerton Multi-Vehicle Crash
Fullerton, CA (April 10, 2023) – Antonia Mendez Ruiz (68) was identified as the fatality in a multi-vehicle crash involving a suspected illegal street racing near Magnolia and Flower avenues in Fullerton. According to KTLA, the crash happened around 9:20 am on Sunday.

The Fullerton Police Department responded to a fatal multi-vehicle crash involving several vehicles and a pedestrian near Magnolia and Flower Avenues.
Authorities confirmed that there were two fatalities in the crash.
According to authorities, an Audi and a motorcycle were speeding when they crashed into a Toyota minivan making a turn onto Flower Avenue.
The crash caused the motorcyclist to be thrown off his vehicle while the Audi veered off the road and struck a pedestrian and a cyclist.
The Audi then crashed into a power pole, overturned, landed in a front yard, and then damaged the homeowner’s gas line.
The first fatality was the pedestrian identified as Antonia Mendez Ruiz. She was walking with her husband to an Easter Celebration when the Audi struck her.
The second fatality was a motorcyclist. He reportedly suffered serious injuries but later succumbed to his injuries at a hospital.
Three other victims had to be taken to hospitals for treatment of injuries.
The minivan driver and his 15-year-old boy passenger suffered minor injuries.
A 30-year-old male cyclist also sustained moderate injuries.
