Meanwhile, Ray Cruz, the father of the siblings, shared memories of his children, who were student-athletes at Los Osos High School, during a vigil held at the crash site on Saturday. “My son was a fanatical baseball player and a fan,” he expressed. He loved the Dodgers and baseball in general. He worked in baseball, at the field, at the gym.”
“Sarah was a bundle of energy. She had a hug for everybody. She was everybody’s friend, whether it was on the volleyball court or the softball field,” he continued.
Moreover, a GoFundMe campaign has been initiated to assist the family with funeral expenses. A second vigil is also scheduled for March 11 at 6:30 p.m. at Village Park in Fontana, a cherished location where the Cruz siblings enjoyed playing baseball in their youth.
