The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office has identified the two victims as 55-year-old Gloria Jamie Barajas and 35-year-old Brenda Quinonez, both residents of Reedley.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred on Road 56 north of Avenue 430, where a Ford F-150, driven by 43-year-old Blake Benham from Dinuba, struck a Nissan Rogue head-on.
Unfortunately, Barajas and Quinonez lost their lives in this Reedley DUI crash.
Additionally, responders took two other occupants of the Nissan Rogue to Community Regional Medical Center with severe injuries.
Meanwhile, Benham, the principal at John F. Kennedy Elementary School, was reportedly under the influence of alcohol during the time of this Reedley DUI crash.
Authorities then arrested the driver for DUI.
