Kingsburg, CA (April 26, 2024) – Reymundo Caldera (43) of Selma died in a Fresno County train after a train struck his SUV at the railroad crossing at Golden State Boulevard and Stroud Avenue in Kingsburg. According to the Fresno Bee, the crash occurred on April 18.

Reymundo Caldera, 43, of Selma, died in a Fresno County train crash at the railroad tracks at Golden State Boulevard and Stroud Avenue in Kingsburg on April 18, as confirmed by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.
According to reports, Caldera succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene. An investigation is underway to determine the functionality of the crossing arms at the time of the incident.
Officials also revealed that Caldera was a correctional officer at the Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison in Corcoran. His tenure with the department commenced as a cadet at the Richard A. McGee Correctional Training Center in February 2022.
After graduating from the Basic Correctional Officer Academy, he joined the Corcoran facility staff in May 2022.
