Robert Joseph Rivas Killed in a Car Crash on California Avenue
Bakersfield, CA (June 3, 2022) – Robert Joseph Rivas (47) of Porterville has been identified by the Kern County Sheriff’s Office as the fatality in a car crash on California Avenue on Friday. According to KGET, the crash happened around 4:53 am.
Robert Joseph Rivas collided with a sedan at California Avenue and Union Avenue.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, Rivas was driving a pick-up truck when he collided with a sedan at an intersection on California Avenue.
Rivas did not survive the collision. Meanwhile, the driver was transported to the hospital due to moderate injuries.
Authorities are still in the midst of the investigation.
