Sacramento, CA (July 12, 2023) – A woman and a man succumbed to fatal injuries in a Sacramento DUI crash near North Highlands. According to KCRA, the crash occurred around 8:27 p.m. on Tuesday.
A Sacramento DUI crash caused fatal injuries to a man and a woman on a sidewalk in the Foothill Farms area.
The California Highway Patrol responded to a fatal Sacramento DUI crash near North Highlands.
Unfortunately, a man and a woman in their 50s or 60s died at the scene.
Authorities reported that a 20-year-old Honda Civic driver was going eastbound on Elkhorn Boulevard near Hillsdale Boulevard when she swerved off the road and hit two pedestrians on the sidewalk.
Due to the impact of the crash, the two pedestrians succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene. Their identities are yet to be released.
On the other hand, one 18-year-old Honda Civic passenger sustained minor injuries from the collision.
Meanwhile, Alyssa Taylor Sandoval, the 20-year-old Honda driver, was detained for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol. After being medically cleared, authorities booked her into the Sacramento County Main Jail.
