Sacramento, CA (December 5, 2023) – A Sacramento DUI crash left a woman dead and two children injured in the Pocket neighborhood. Authorities also arrested Alethea Lee (26) suspected of DUI. According to KCRA, the accident occurred around 6:05 p.m. on Friday.

According to the Sacramento Police Department, the accident occurred on Friday along Pocket Road near Greenhaven Drive.
Presently, 26-year-old Alethea Lee faces charges related to driving under the influence and inflicting significant bodily injury. Authorities also intend to charge Lee with gross vehicular manslaughter.
Reportedly, the collision occurred when Lee lost control and struck three pedestrians, including a woman and her two children.
Unfortunately, the woman was taken to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries on Sunday. As of now, her identity remains undisclosed.
Meanwhile, the two injured children, confirmed to attend Bergamo Montessori School, survived the crash.
Lee also suffered injuries and was hospitalized before being booked into Sacramento County Jail. She has a $450,000 bail and appeared in court on Tuesday.
Accordingly, Lee did not enter a plea during the court session. Her defense is seeking her release from jail, and the judge will decide on this request during her next appearance on Dec. 7.
