Michael Spitz succumbed to fatal injury after a rock-climbing accident
San Diego, CA (January 19, 2022) – Michael Spitz (35) got killed in a rock-climbing accident at Joshua Tree National Park. According to the National Park Service, they found Spitz’s body at the foot of the Sentinel Wall on Monday morning.
Michael Spitz was found dead near the Hidden Valley Nature Trail.
According to the coroner’s office, Spitz sustained injuries a day before he was found. Spitz was a Spanish teacher at Santa Fe Christian’s Upper School in San Diego. The school has shared that it will “share opportunities for support and remembrance in the coming days.”
