San Jose, CA (April 3, 2024) – A San Jose hit-and-run in the area of Nieman Boulevard and Daniel Maloney Drive left a motorist dead. Police also arrested the teen driver involved in the collision. According to CBS News, the crash happened shortly after 4:10 a.m. on Wednesday.

A San Jose hit-and-run at the intersection of Nieman Boulevard and Daniel Maloney Drive killed a motorist after colliding with another vehicle on Wednesday.
Additionally, police took a teen driver into custody following the crash.
San Jose police reported that a black 2017 Chevrolet Camaro was traveling north on Nieman Boulevard at high speed and ran a stop sign at Daniel Maloney Drive, colliding with a white 2000 Nissan Frontier pickup truck heading west on Maloney.
Unfortunately, the driver of the Nissan pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene. However, the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office withheld the victim’s identity pending his family’s notification.
Meanwhile, police officers apprehended the juvenile suspected of driving the Camaro and placed him under arrest.
During the investigation, Nieman Boulevard was closed from Laddie Way to Blanding Avenue, while Elkins Way was shut down from Pomeroy Avenue to Nieman Boulevard. Daniel Maloney Drive was also closed from Brigadoon Way to Nieman Boulevard.
