A San Marcos car crash claimed the life of a 27-year-old San Marcos man after speeding and losing control of his small SUV.
The accident led to the vehicle striking a fire hydrant and signal pole, resulting in his partial ejection from the car.
According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the fatal incident occurred at the San Elijo Road and Ledge Street intersection.
Police also stated that the man drove a silver 2005 Toyota RAV4 at a high speed, heading westbound on San Elijo before the crash.
Consequently, the impact forced the SUV to overturn onto its roof.
Unfortunately, the driver, who didn’t wear a seat belt, passed away at Kaiser-San Marcos Hospital. However, his identity remains undisclosed.
