Friant, CA (June 13, 2023) – Sanger Police Officer Manvir Dhanoa (26) succumbed to fatal injuries sustained in a Millerton Road crash near Sky Harbour Road. According to Your Central Valley, the single-vehicle accident occurred around 5:30 am on Tuesday.
Sanger Police Officer Manvir Dhanoa was fatally injured in a single-vehicle crash at Millerton Road in Friant.
The Sanger Police Department reported the fatality of a 26-year-old officer in a single-vehicle crash at Millerton Road, near Sky Harbour Road.
According to the report, the off-duty officer, identified as 26-year-old Manvir Dhanoa, was traveling eastbound on Millerton Road when his Tesla vehicle veered off the road.
He then hit a culvert, causing his vehicle to overturn. Unfortunately, he was not wearing a seatbelt during the crash.
He was then pronounced fatal at the scene.
Additionally, CALFIRE extracted a 23-year-old passenger from the damaged vehicle. The California Highway Patrol reported that the passenger suffered moderate injuries.
Chief Garner remembered Officer Dhanoa in his statement, “It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of Police Officer Manvir Dhanoa, a dedicated and promising member of the Sanger Police Department, who, while off-duty, was involved in a tragic traffic collision this morning on Millerton Road near Sky Harbor Road.”
