Santa Ana, CA (July 22, 2023) – A driver sustained fatal injuries after hitting a cement truck in a Santa Ana truck crash. A vehicle passenger also sustained significant injuries from the collision. According to The Orange County Register, the collision was reported after 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.

The Santa Ana Police Department responded to a truck accident involving a sedan and a cement truck in the 2400 block of E. 17th Street, near the 55 Freeway.
According to authorities, the sedan exited southbound 55 onto 17th Street at high speed when it crashed into a stationary cement truck in a left turn lane on westbound 17th Street.
Due to the impact of the collision, the sedan driver succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Meanwhile, a passenger also suffered severe injuries and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Moreover, the current condition of the cement truck driver remains unclear.
Authorities confirm that the cement truck driver remained at the accident scene and cooperated with the investigation.
Police are examining all factors to determine the events leading to this tragic Santa Ana truck crash.
