Santa Rosa Car Crash Caused Injuries to Three People After An 18-Year-Old Driver Sped Away from the CHP
Santa Rosa, CA (October 22, 2023) – A Santa Rosa car crash injured a child and two adults after an 18-year-old driver sped away from the authorities. According to CBS, the crash happened on Saturday.

A Santa Rosa car crash injured three people when an 18-year-old, driving a Mustang with a counterfeit license plate reading “WILL RUN,” decided to speed away from the California Highway Patrol officers.
The CHP initially attempted to stop the Ford Mustang for speeding in Rohnert Park. However, the driver accelerated, making his way north on the U.S. Highway 101.
The alleged suspect reached over 100 mph, which forced patrol cars to halt their pursuit. To track the speeding vehicle, a helicopter from the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office was enlisted.
As the Mustang driver tried to overtake an SUV using the center median, both cars collided, resulting in significant damage.
As a result, the occupants of the SUV, two adults and a child, sustained minor to moderate injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital. Their identities were not revealed.
In the meantime, CHP captured and arrested the Mustang driver on multiple felony counts.
Moreover, the authorities identified the suspect as Marcus Burton, an 18-year-old from Healdsburg.
Confirming Burton’s association with the vehicle, CHP found images of the Mustang on his Facebook page.
Additionally, the CHP confirmed that the defiantly labeled Mustang had grabbed law enforcement’s attention multiple times in the past month.
The car had initiated several chases but always managed to evade arrest until the Saturday Santa Rosa car crash.
