Madera County, CA (October 24, 2022) – Shari Nolan (62) of Oakhurst was identified as the fatality in a car crash on Highway 41 in Madera County. According to The Fresno Bee, the crash occurred around 6:30 pm on Thursday.
A pickup fatally struck Shari Nolan on Highway 41 in Madera County. A small dog also died at the scene.
The California Highway Patrol reported a fatal car crash on Highway 41 in Madera County.
A woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The Madera County Sheriff’s Office recently identified her as Shari Nolan of Oakhurst. A small dog in the same car as Nolan also died in the crash.
Responders then airlifted a second person in the Mini Cooper due to major injuries.
According to authorities, a pickup was unable to stop and broadsided a Mini Cooper’s driver’s side on Highway 41. Currently, investigators are still determining whether the Mini Cooper failed to stop or had moved away from the stop sign before the crash happened.
Meanwhile, the two occupants of the pickup also sustained moderate to major injuries.
Alcohol and drugs did not appear to be a factor in the crash.
