Los Angeles Resident Shawnkel Washington Killed in a Hit-and-Run Accident in Pico-Union
Los Angeles, CA (July 4, 2022) – Shawnkel Washington (27) of Los Angeles was identified as the victim of a hit-and-run accident in Pico-Union. According to ABC7, the incident reportedly occurred around 2:20 am on Saturday.
Washington died at the scene after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Pico-Union. Authorities are now looking for the hit-and-run driver.
The Los Angeles Police Department reported a hit-and-run accident after a Nissan sedan fatally struck a pedestrian at Pico Boulevard and Wilton Place on Saturday.
Then, the authorities pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The victim was later identified as Shawnkel Washington of Los Angeles.
According to the LAPD news release, an eastbound white Nissan sedan struck a pedestrian crossing the street. Following the collision, the driver reportedly exited his vehicle but re-entered and fled the scene.
