Coronado, CA (July 12, 2023) – A motorcyclist succumbed to fatal injuries in a Silver Strand motorcycle crash after fleeing officers at the intersection of State Route 75 and Coronado Cays Boulevard. According to FOX5, the accident occurred around 7 a.m. on Wednesday.

The Coronado Police Department responded to a fatal motorcycle crash at the intersection of Silver Strand and Coronado Cays Boulevard in Coronado that killed a motorcyclist.
Authorities reported that a traffic officer saw a motorcycle moving at a fast speed northbound on SR-75 and attempted to stop the driver for a traffic violation.
However, the motorcyclist allegedly failed to yield and sped away, eventually hitting a vehicle at the Coronado Cays intersection.
The traffic officer quickly called medical assistance and provided the motorcyclist with first aid. Despite their attempts, police said the rider died at the scene. Their identity is yet to be released.
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries from the collision.
The CPD is investigating to determine the circumstances that led to this Sacramento DUI crash.
