Silverio Arturo Velasquez Jr., a 64-year-old Los Angeles resident, died at the scene of a Long Beach crash involving a Volvo semi-truck and Lexus sedan on Wednesday.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the victim’s identity.
The Long Beach Police Department received the crash report shortly before 4 p.m., pinpointing the collision at the intersection of West Anaheim and Ninth Streets.
According to the police, the driver of a 2009 Lexus sedan was heading northbound on West Ninth Street and collided with a 2014 Volvo semi-truck traveling southbound through the intersection.
