According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 9:45 a.m. on the westbound lanes of SR-94 at College Avenue when a 33-year-old woman driving a Toyota Camry swerved into another lane and collided with a 2013 Dodge Challenger.
Subsequently, both vehicles veered off the freeway, resting on College Avenue on-ramp for SR-94 west.
During the collision, the Camry overturned, ejecting the passengers, who were the son and daughter of the female driver. While their injuries are significant, authorities classified them as non-life-threatening.
Meanwhile, police transported the 43-year-old woman who drove the Challenger to a nearby hospital via ambulance for medical evaluation and treatment.
Moreover, CHP revealed that the children were not wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
