Stanley Isaacs Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Laguna Beach
Laguna Beach, CA (August 15, 2022) – Stanley Isaacs (60) of Costa Mesa was identified as the fatality in a hit-and-run crash at S. Coast Highway and Pearl Street in Laguna Beach. According to NBC Los Angeles, the crash was reported around 9:38 pm on Thursday.
Stanley Isaacs and his wife, Cathy, were struck by a hit-and-run driver at S. Coast Highway and Pearl Street in Laguna Beach.
Authorities responded to reports of a fatal crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at S. Coast Highway and Pearl Street in Laguna Beach.
They then took two victims to a hospital. They were identified as a couple from Costa Mesa. One of the victims, Stanley Isaacs, later succumbed to his injuries. His wife, Cathy, then sustained minor injuries but has been released from the hospital.
According to reports, the couple was on a marked and lit crosswalk when a hit-and-run driver struck them. Witnesses said that Stanley saved his wife by pushing her out of the way. It was also mentioned that the couple had just finished their anniversary dinner before the accident.
Neighbors and friends of Stanley Isaacs brought flowers and left heartfelt messages at his memorial.
Meanwhile, the hit-and-run driver reportedly surrendered at the Laguna Beach Police Department less than 24 hours after the crash.
She was identified as an 18-year-old woman from Costa Mesa.
