Aguanga, CA (August 9, 2022) – A suspected DUI Aguanga motorcycle accident at the State Route 371-79 intersection hospitalized a motorcyclist near Temecula. According to Patch, the crash happened at around 2:45 pm on Tuesday.
A 33-year-old motorcyclist suffered severe injuries after a suspected DUI Aguanga motorcycle crash at an intersection of state routes 371 and 79 near Temecula.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a 33-year-old man on a Yamaha sport motorcycle went north on SR-79, going to Temecula from Borrego.
Then, he rode through the intersection with SR-371 at around 30-35 mph. He then t-boned a Jeep Cherokee making a left turn into SR-371.
The motorcyclist then flew off his bike due to the impact and sustained severe injuries. Responders arrived at the scene and immediately flew the motorcyclist out to Wildomar’s Inland Valley Medical Center.
Further details about his condition are unavailable.
Meanwhile, the Jeep’s 64-year-old female driver suffered no injuries from the crash. Right now, the CHP is investigating this case. So far, they haven’t made any arrests.
CHP Officer Mike Lassig shared with Patch, “witnesses say that the motorcyclist passed a slower-moving car and crossed a double yellow line before reaching and driving through the stop sign. Alcohol is presumed to be a factor in this crash.”

More About Motorcycle Accident Liability
Motorcycle accidents usually cause more severe damage than other auto accidents. Motorcyclists are prone to sustaining major injuries because they are more exposed. Also, motorcycles are lighter and don’t provide much protection. Most motorcycle accidents are caused by the following:
- Compact and less visible on the road
- Loss of control due to road debris
- Motorcyclists are exposed to road and other vehicles
- Prone to wobbling
- Unskilled motorcyclists who don’t have proper licenses
However, motorcycle accident liability always falls on the negligent driver. Most of the time, both the motorcyclist and the other vehicle’s driver can be at fault. It all depends on who made careless road maneuvers, which contributed to the accident. Proving negligence can become challenging on your own. Fortunately, you can hire an experienced attorney for motorcycle accidents. A skilled lawyer can do more than just help build your case.
