A Temecula Motorcycle Accident Left SDPD Sergeant Franklin White with Major Injuries
Temecula, CA (July 4, 2022) – A Temecula motorcycle accident on Rainbow Canyon Road near Rainbow Valley Boulevard left a San Diego Police Department (SDPD) sergeant Franklin White (42), with major injuries. According to ABC 10 News San Diego, the crash happened at around 8:35 pm on Saturday.
SDPD sergeant Franklin White suffered severe injuries in a Temecula motorcycle accident on Rainbow Canyon Road near Rainbow Valley Boulevard.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), White rode a police-issued motorcycle north on Rainbow Canyon Road. Then, he lost control of the motorcycle as it approached a curve at around 35 to 45 mph near Rainbow Valley Boulevard.
The motorcycle then tipped to the right and slid across the road’s double yellow lines. It then went into the path of a 2000 Nissan Frontier pickup heading southbound on the same road, leading to a crash.
According to responders, White suffered severe injuries. They also transported him to Inland Valley Medical Center. Meanwhile, the pickup’s driver Lucas Lopez (36) from Fallbrook, sustained no injuries.
Authorities noted that they had made no arrest yet. They are still investigating the crash.
